Our talented Year 6 debate team demonstrated their public speaking skills at the annual MNSP Speak Out! competition, featuring 13 of our local primary schools. Tackling the thought-provoking topic, “Is space exploration worth the money?”, they captivated the audience of families, friends and teachers on the stage at Writhlington School. Despite being last in the running order, our team’s energetic delivery of their well-researched arguments left an ‘out-of-this-world’ impression and they did themselves proud. The team expertly answered a challenging question posed by a headteacher, demonstrating their quick thinking and depth of knowledge on the subject. Their performance not only highlighted their hard work but also left the audience smiling, with their super space puns and fantastic actions! Well done team!
